Aileen Kim is a first-year at Georgetown University intending to major in Philosophy. She has been actively involved in debating and public speaking throughout high school, representing the Korean national team at World Schools Debating Championships for two consecutive years from 2019-2021 and serving as the captain of the 2020-2021 cycle, setting the best record of 4 years. She has also been part of the national speech team from 2017-2019 for the World Individual Debate and Public Speaking Championships, setting one of the highest records of South Korea as a finalist of impromptu speaking. Other than being a public speaking fanatic, she has worked for the wartime sexual slavery survivors as a translator of a series of recorded interviews. She is very excited to be a part of a fruitful project towards fluid communication amidst challenging times.
